We spent September getting the house ready to have non-family members over for the first time. It mostly involved working on projects that we’ve been putting off since we moved in, like finally banishing those horrible baby-poo green stripes in the dining room and recovering the dining room chairs. The front of the house also got a much needed deep cleaning, complete with baseboard scrubbing and a new set of curtains.
We’re mostly happy with the results, but we still need to get some color up on the wall and figure out what to do with the dog crate corner. We don’t crate either of the dogs anymore and it just seems silly to keep it out, but it’s nice to have in an emergency. And it’s also funny to occasionally trap the kitten in there.
Also managed to get my contribution to the latest round of the Vintage Sheet Fat Quarter Swap sent out today. It was also quite liberating to cut into some of the sheets that I’ve been hoarding for the past 10 years, especially the pink ones which I’m fairly unlikely to ever use. There are some, however, that I don’t know if I can ever bear to use. I’m excited to add some new prints to my stash.
