Right now I’m really loving in the forest’s woodland creature paintings and prints. If it weren’t pretty tight money-wise around here, due to owed taxes, I would snatch up one of her small individual paintings. The bear on the aqua background is just calling to me.

We wake up & take the dogs to the park so the mister can see how they like the remote control car he bought for them to chase.

Turbo wants to eat it.

Frankie could care less & wishes Turbo would pay more attention to him.

After the park I convince the mister that my plans for breakfast are much better than going out to eat. And boy oh boy, was it ever.

Growing up my mom always made baked goods for our teachers & neighbors. That must be where I got my need to share baked goods love with my friends & coworkers each Christmas. Last year it was lemon poundcake, which is a tried & true recipe for me.

This year, however, I wanted to try something new. Inspired by Bakerella’s, adorable Cupcake Bites, I decided to try to make some of my own. They did not come out as planned, but I like them non-the-less. They were a big hit with recipients and delicious, to boot. However, they were pretty time intensive and I won’t be making them again anytime soon.

Ingredients: Chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream frosting, candy bark & rainbow sprinkles.
